This is from David Nance.
Chairman of the T8TPC (Tennessee 8th District Tea Party Coalition)
Take a look at some of the great things happening at the State level. It isappearing that we can be much more effective working at the State level rather than at the Federal level. Senator Stacy Campfield has found significant support from the Tennessee Sheriffs association for the Montana Senate bill S114 and intends to move ahead with filing the bill in the S...

A U.S. district judge on Monday threw out the nation's health care law, declaring it unconstitutional because it violates the Commerce Clause and surely reviving a feud among competing philosophies about the role of government.
Judge Roger Vinson, in Pensacola, Fla., ruled that as a result of the unconstitutionality of the "individual mandate" that requires people to buy insurance, the entire law must be declared void.
"I must reluctantly conclude that Congress exceeded the boun...

All indication are that Republicans have WON all of the Seats that Benton County Residents could vote for on November 2nd. At this time most Stations have called the election for Haslam and Fincher. At this time Wirgau is ahead of Borchert 54% to 46% with 60 percent of precincts reporting.
Most important is the fact that Fincher was not just a Republican, he was a Tea Party Republican. This is a huge victory for the Tea Party since both Fincher and Wirgau were en...

Herron’s Socialism is Dangerous
State Senator Roy Herron is certainly to be commended for championing religious liberty against the assaults of anti-Christian activist and the constitutionally misinformed who continue to infringe upon the rights of children and teachers in public schools. Though we are at a loss as to why he has opposed passing a law (SJR 127) which states that abortion is not a right in the Tennesse...

Whenever October rolls around we all start to realize that the Elections are getting close. The news stations start their countdown to the election and the political machines roll into high gear.
First, lets look at our purpose. In my opinion the purpose of the Tea Party is simple. We promote Candidates and Legislation that adhere to our 3 Core Principles. If successful, we watch the Candidates we help get elected and make sure they stick to their promises. I...

The TN Board of Regents took shady politics to a new low with a backroom way for hiring Deputy Governor John Morgan as the system's new chancellor.
At a time when a more transparent government is crucial to our education system, the board, which oversees MTSU, undermined the public confidence by altering the rules - in an apparent attempt to make sure Morgan got the job.
Republican state Senators Bill Ketron of Murfreesboro and Jim Tracy of Shelbyville ar...

When will the Liberals in Washington learn that the American people are tired of bailouts? In case you were not aware, $26 Billion of your tax dollars is going to bail out Unions! This bill was nothing more than the Liberals paying the Unions for their support in November, at the expense of you the tax payer!
"It amounts at this point in time to asking the citizens of responsible states like ours to subsidize those places who have been more reckless," Indiana Gov. Mit...
